Collioure, cont.

Collioure is a beautiful sea side resort. The town wraps around a beautiful bay on the Mediteranean Sea. The pictures speak for themselves. We spent our day wandering around the town seeing the beautiful buildings tucked erratically into the nooks and crevices created by the winding climbing streets. There are several buildings from the middle ages. The building that looks like a lighthouse was actually a religious enclave built out into the sea. There are also the remains of a castle/prison built on Roman ruins, around the mid 1300s.

There are also lots of great cafes, restaurants and art galleries. The colorful buildings show just how creative and eclectic the spirit of this little town really is.
