Pat and Jenny hiked up the long driveway sans voiture avec un metre du neige! (without car in 3 feet of snow). Like the le trois hommes sage (3 wise men), they brought gifts of wine, fois gras, mustard and salt. We consumed heartily that evening - fois gras (french style) and lamb.
Thanks Suze! That was the first blog ever written by a my great friend marooned in the snow in Evergreen. We spent a fabulous two nights at their mountain home, first watching 3 feet of snow fall, then shoveling out the rental car (see lump in the photo).
Pat said George's Marguax was better than the Chateau neuf du Pape we brought! Suze and I had a great time rearranging her furniture, and coming up with new worky projects for her two weeks of vacation. Pat and George plowed, and then blew up the plow truck, so they got to do a little "tinkering" of their own. My favorite part was sitting in the hot tub, with huge snow banks all around us and the steam was so thick we couldn't see each other across the tub!
Thanks you guys. That was fabulous!
